Check out my personal top 3 picks.
My top 3 favorites
Simplicity wins! Dumplings with creamy prawn fillings, which look plain from the outside, won my taste buds. I don’t need any sauce or ketchup to eat with this one. Tasteful by itself.

This seafood bean curd brings back all childhood memories with my grandmother. Savoury and full with seafood inside. Dip in a little bit of mayonnaise and my happiness is complete.

Chicken siew mai is my all time favorite. And here at Shang Dimsum, Hotel Jen Puteri Harbour, Johor Bahru, it has won my heart again. The prawn on top definitely attracted my attention when they arrived at our table.

Caution when eating!
Xiao long dumpling is filled with herbal chicken soup. Make sure you pick it up very carefully and put everything into your mouth all at once, so you won’t end up with a mess on your clothes and the disappointment of an empty dumpling.

Remember to eat all your dim sums right after they arrived and still hot. When you’re too busy taking photos, they would cool down, stick to the plate and spill the fillings when lifted. Happened to me. Too bad.

Be careful when enjoying your salted egg pau. Carefully bite it so you can get all the creamy salted egg filling. Look at that runny, golden filling. Ah, made my day!
