Bismillahir rahmanir rahim.
In the name of God, The Most Merciful, The Most Loving.
I started out as a unit trust consultant many years ago when I was still a student. With zero experience as a salesperson, it didn’t turn out well for me. I lost focus and forgot why I started.
Last year, I was looking for a new career with flexible hours. The reason was simple. My father got sick and bed-ridden, and I decided to be the one sending him to dialysis center three times a week. Often I questioned myself, “Is this the right to do?” Without the support from my family, I won’t be able to stay here. They still do.
I am progressing slowly. I would be lying if I say I am not jealous of those who are way ahead than me. But I am determined to stay. Of that, I am very confident.
In February, my father passed away. He was the reason I started. No regrets. Often, I will remind myself why I started to motivate myself.
